Conversion Rate Calculator
Calculate conversion rate from visitors and conversions, then estimate the traffic needed for a target number of conversions at the same observed rate.

How the calculation works
Conversion rate = conversions / eligible visitors × 100. Required traffic = target conversions / observed conversion rate, rounded up.
A calculation you can check.
If 60 of 2,000 eligible visitors convert, the conversion rate is 3%. To model 100 conversions at that same rate, you need 3,334 visitors after rounding up.
When to use this calculator
Use this conversion rate calculator for a clearly defined action, such as a completed inquiry or purchase. Keep numerator and denominator aligned: the conversions must come from the same eligible group and measurement period. This calculator assumes no more than one counted conversion per visitor or opportunity. For event counts that can repeat, use a different rate definition.
Assumptions and limits
The traffic target is a scenario based on an observed rate, not a statistical forecast. Small samples and changes in traffic source can make the rate unstable. Additional visitors may not behave like the original audience. If the observed group has zero conversions, the tool cannot infer a finite traffic requirement for a positive target; more data or a different assumption is needed.
Before you use the result.
Can conversions exceed visitors?
Not under this calculator’s one-conversion-per-opportunity definition. For repeat events, use an event-per-visitor measure instead.
What if I have zero conversions?
The observed rate is zero. A positive target has no finite traffic estimate at that rate.
Does it measure statistical significance?
No. It calculates a point estimate and a traffic scenario. It does not provide confidence intervals or an A/B test conclusion.
